How it works

A calm plan, from day one.

Wiegklaar is one shared plan for the two of you. It works in the browser on your computer and your phone, always in sync. Here’s what it does, and how you start.

  1. 01

With a code sent to your email, and soon with Google too. There’s no password to remember and nothing to install.

  2. 02

    Tell it the basics

Your name, the due date and who’s in the family. Invite your partner straight away, or later.

  3. 03

    Get a head start

Pick what would help most right now. Wiegklaar sets up a starting plan with lists to choose from, so you never begin with a blank page.

Your journey

Everything on one timeline.

The journey puts the pregnancy and the first months on one line: appointments, things to arrange, the due date and who’s home when. Filter it to just appointments, tips or leave, and step through what’s coming.

Every day

One overview for both of you

The countdown to your due date, how far along you are, and what’s coming up this week: appointments and to-dos, with the name of whoever is doing them. Along the way, short tips tell you what to arrange and when, each with the official source it comes from.

  • A week-by-week countdown
  • This week’s appointments and to-dos
  • Tips at the right moment, each with its source
The overview: 140 days to go, this week’s midwife check-up and a tip about the 20-week scan

Every day

To-dos and appointments

Keep the check-ups, scans and courses in one calendar, with your questions for the verloskundige ready to ask. Ready-made lists for the hospital bag, getting the home ready and the kraamweek give you a list to pick from.

  • Questions for each appointment
  • Lists for the hospital bag and the kraamweek
  • Everything with both your names on it

Getting ready

Shopping, without the spreadsheet

Start from a babyuitzet list sorted by room and keep what you need. Put options from different shops side by side, set a target price, and see which prices have dropped. Top picks show well-tested choices, based on independent tests such as the ANWB car seat test.

  • A starter list, not a blank page
  • Options and prices side by side
  • Top picks from independent tests

Planning

Leave, for both of you

Answer a few questions and Wiegklaar lays out pregnancy and maternity leave, birth leave, extra birth leave and parental leave on one timeline, with both your work weeks. It shows the days nobody is home yet, until every workday is covered. Try another plan without losing this one.

  • The Dutch leave rules, worked out
  • Gaps shown before they’re a problem
  • More than one plan to compare

Planning

Daycare, with real numbers

Keep the daycares you’re considering in one place, with rates, contract weeks and notes from each visit. See what each would cost per month and in the first year, and your share after the childcare benefit. Your income stays on your own device: it’s never saved or sent.

  • Options compared per month and per year
  • This year’s benefit tables
  • Your income never leaves your device

Keepsakes

And a baby book, for the two of you.

Make a shortlist of names and see which ones you both love. Write one line a week about the pregnancy, so you remember how it felt. It stays private to your household.
